Exam & education requirements
Exam identifiers
5757 combines Reading and Writing (5758) and Mathematics (5759). Confirm your state or local education agency accepts this exact assessment.
Reading and Writing
51 selected-response questions in 85 minutes: approximately 30 Reading and 21 Writing. The official companion includes selection of one or more answers.
Mathematics
36 questions in 60 minutes: 18 Numbers and Operations and 18 Geometry, Measurement and Data Analysis. Selected-response and numeric-entry formats are described, with an on-screen four-function calculator.
Total structure
87 questions across two separately timed subjects, totaling 145 minutes. The official companion notes that some questions may not count toward the score.
Qualifying requirements
State and district acceptance and subtest standards vary. As checked October 14, 2026, ETS lists Connecticut at 332 for 5758 and 334 for 5759, while Washington lists 324 and 325. Verify your own route; neither pair is a nationwide standard.
Format source
The current detailed 5757 study companion controls this edition. Some commerce summaries retained legacy ParaPro 90-question/150-minute language; that legacy structure is not used here.
Role and eligibility
The assessment is designed for prospective or current paraeducators supporting teachers. Passing an assessment does not by itself satisfy every employer, education, screening or local eligibility requirement.

Independent exam prep. Read the stated scope and confirm current admission or licensing requirements with the official provider.

Exam & education requirements
Official structure
Universal: four sections of 25 questions, 100 total: Core, Type I, Type II and Type III.
Passing standard
At least 70% in EACH closed-book section; ESCO requires 18 correct out of 25. A high total does not offset a failed section.
Administration
Closed-book and proctored, in person or through an approved remote program. Only provider-authorized references may be used.
Timing
Confirm the selected certifying organization's time allowance. Our four 30-minute practice blocks are publisher-selected pacing, not a universal EPA time limit.
Type I alternative
Mail-in/open-book Type I uses an 84% standard. Its open-book Core/Type I results cannot be used for Universal; take the required proctored sections.
Eligibility and duration
No federal prerequisite course or degree is specified for this exam. Section 608 certification does not expire. Practical work also requires appropriate training, supervision and any applicable local credentials.

STUDY FOR UNDERSTANDING

A reason behind every answer.

01 / LEARN

Build the concept.

Read the lessons, work the examples, and use the distinctions to see which fact changes the answer. The coverage map connects public exam topics to the teaching chapters.

02 / REHEARSE

Try an unfamiliar form.

Take a practice exam under the stated conditions. Each form states its question count and pacing; editorial allocations are identified where the provider does not publish exact weights. Keep guesses in your error log, even when they turn out right.

03 / REPAIR

Explain the mistake.

Every answer includes reasoning for the correct choice and the distractors. Use your weak topics to plan the next session; a memorized answer is only a starting point.

Exam preparation and license eligibility are different steps. These are independent study materials, not regulator-approved prelicensing courses. Required education, applications, background checks, and other licensing conditions remain separate. Passing depends on mastery; practice scores do not guarantee an exam result.

Know what is included.

Are these ready to buy?

These are editorial review editions. This public preview includes product details and three sample flashcards per pack. Complete files are reserved for purchased access. Sales open after final review, payment setup, and print proof approval.

Which exam does each package cover?

Each package identifies its exam or component and maps public exam topics to the lessons. State rules are taught within the relevant guide. Real-estate packs distinguish national and state topics; EPA 608 separates Core and Types I, II, and III. TEAS Science covers one TEAS section; AFQT covers four ASVAB subtests. CDL covers written knowledge for general, air-brake, and combination-vehicle topics. California water books distinguish D1/D2 and T1/T2 grade coverage; wastewater covers Grade I. Solar follows the 2026 NABCEP PV Associate outline. Education packs identify ParaPathways 5757 and Praxis PLT 5625. Read each package for question counts, practice pacing, pretest differences, and the official passing standard.

Are the practice questions from the actual exam?

No. They are original questions written for this collection. Public outlines guide coverage; no actual or recalled exam items are reproduced. The practice exams are not statistically equated to official exams. Each package has at least two distinct forms; paired-grade water packs provide two per grade. Core lessons and some foundational questions are shared across state editions.

Can I print the materials?

Yes. The PDFs are US Letter with readable, print-friendly interiors. One-sheets are one page each. Print flashcard pages 3–26 only, at actual size, double-sided with a long-edge flip. Printed books and shipping are planned; no print orders are accepted yet.

How current is the information?

This edition records official sources checked in October 2026, including the applicable outline dates. Rules and testing procedures can change. Before booking, confirm current instructions with the regulator or testing provider linked in your guide.
